Our own leader Hon. Mrs Omowunmi Isaacs is not an emergency leader but evolved through the process because rapid growth can lead to a rapid fall. Adam had no experience and became an adult in a day. Fast success without a solid foundation may lead to a fast downfall, thank God she went through the process.
Just a forth night ago the Commissioner for Finance, our own amiable Hon. Mrs OMOWUNMI Isaacs puts smile on the faces of our people in Owo as she celebrated Easter with the good people of the ancient town including party leaders, members as well as members of the elders council lavishly with bags of Rice and cash gifts aside refreshments at the ceremony.
During one of her visits to Owo she was displeased with the way the ancient town looked unkempt, bushy and dirty at a time the kidnapping activities in the town is alarming. She immediately ordered the clearing of the bushes from Uso-Emure down to Iyere.
In furtherance of the cleaning exercise, She has engaged fifty street sweepers tagged Wumi Kajola Network Sweepers with effect from today 1st of May, 2025 that will carry out the daily sweeping, clearing and cleaning activities across the entire Owo Local Government Area.
This is unprecedented and commendable though this project has been misconstrued in some quarters as Local Government project but it’s independently the personal project of our Leader Hon. Omowunmi Isaacs.
She believes what makes a man great is not only what he does but also what he refuses to do by remaining uncompromising in her principles. That is why when her detractors go low, she goes high. She always maintains equanimity of mind. Thus, she is neither excited by praises nor depressed when she is attacked. She remains focused so that God’s purpose for her can be fulfilled. When the divinity in the inner man dominates the animality it manifests humanity but when the animality in the inner man dominates the divinity it manifests beastliness. She is undoubtedly leading with purpose, focus and wisdom. She is strategic in her choices, deliberate in her association, and always invest in the future.
She is leading like a lion, no wonder she thinks beyond the now and builds an enduring legacy that will outlive her. Posterity will not forgive those who ganged up against her in the immediate past Government which can best be described as political mutiny had in no doubt denied our people this kind of transformative leadership
