How Woman Was Arrested for Allegedly Conniving With a Doctor to Defraud People Through Fake Surgery Appeal

A woman identified as Ogechi Okechukwu has been arrested for allegedly collaborating with a doctor to defrauuuud people on Facebook by falsely claiming she needed money for surgery.

Popular Facebook influencer. Uwaoma Susan Joseph unknowingly helped raise thousands of naira for Ogechi, believing her appeal was genuine. However, investigations later revealed that the entire plea was a scam.

 

Ogechi, who resides in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, was apprehended after incriminating evidence of her conversations with the doctor was uncovered on her phone.

She is currently in detention as authorities continue their investigation into the fraudulent scheme.
