B’Haram:They Broadcasted That They Have Selected 61 Females and They Will Start Sharing Them-Yusuf
Political strategist and Group CEO of a global investment firm, Baba Yusuf, has raised fresh concerns over the escalating tactics of Boko Haram, warning that the group has issued a disturbing threat involving abducted victims.
Speaking during an interview on Arise News on Saturday, April 24, 2026, Yusuf disclosed that the insurgent group had already signalled its next move following a recent ultimatum issued to the Nigerian government.
“They have broadcasted that they have selected about 61 of the females and they are going to start sharing them out in the next couple of hours if they don’t get a feedback,” he said.
Yusuf’s comments point to a dangerous escalation in the crisis, as the militant group intensifies pressure on authorities amid ongoing abductions. The development follows earlier threats by the insurgents to act if their demands are not met within a specified timeframe.

The analyst described the situation as evidence of growing boldness among militant groups, noting that such actions reflect increasing confidence and operational capacity. His remarks come against the backdrop of heightened insecurity in parts of northern Nigeria, where communities continue to face attacks, kidnappings, and displacement
