2027: APC govt officials will face consequences after our victory — Oyegun
John Oyegun, a former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has said officials of the current administration will be held accountable for their actions if the African Democratic Congress (ADC) takes over power in 2027.
Oyegun made the remarks on Tuesday at the national convention of the ADC led by David Mark in Abuja.
He expressed confidence that the party is on course to assume leadership at the federal level, noting that Nigerians are eager for change.
“Officials of the present government will face the consequences of their actions when ADC takes over in 2027,” he said.
“We are already on our way to the Aso Rock. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, and I will stay with this movement until we get there. Enough is enough,” he said.
Oyegun added that the ADC is prepared to provide the leadership needed to “salvage the country,” urging members to remain committed to the party’s vision ahead of the next general elections.
In a lighter moment during his speech, Oyegun mistakenly referenced the APC, drawing laughter from the audience. He quickly corrected himself, asking, “Did I say APC?” before reaffirming his allegiance to the ADC.
The convention brought together key stakeholders and party faithful as the ADC intensifies preparations for the 2027 elections.
