Arobo Formally Declares House of Representatives Bid, Unveils Development Agenda for Owo/Ose

Barrister Ghani Rotimi Arobo has formally declared his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat to represent Owo/Ose Federal Constituency, setting the tone for what observers describe as a defining political moment ahead of the next general elections.

The declaration, which took place during a ward meeting at Igboroko 1 Ward 2 in Owo Local Government Area, attracted a significant gathering of party faithful, stakeholders, and community leaders, reflecting growing momentum around his candidacy.

The meeting brought together party leaders across multiple levels, including key figures from the local government structure, as well as ward and unit executives, in a show of unity and solidarity. The atmosphere was marked by enthusiasm and renewed political engagement, as speakers at the event acknowledged the importance of credible and people-oriented representation for the constituency.

The presence of grassroots leaders further underscored the depth of consultation and acceptance Arobo appears to enjoy within the party structure at the local level.

In his declaration address, Barr. Arobo expressed profound gratitude to party leaders and supporters for their unwavering commitment and belief in his vision. He noted that their consistent encouragement and trust have played a pivotal role in shaping his resolve to offer himself for service at the national level. He emphasized that his aspiration is driven not by personal ambition, but by a deep-seated desire to contribute meaningfully to the progress and development of Owo/Ose Federal Constituency.

Highlighting his legislative priorities, Arobo outlined a comprehensive, people-centered agenda focused on youth empowerment, economic development, women’s advancement, and infrastructural growth. He stressed the urgent need to create sustainable opportunities for young people, noting that youth engagement remains critical to the stability and prosperity of the constituency.

According to him, targeted empowerment initiatives, skills development programs, and strategic partnerships will form the cornerstone of his approach to addressing unemployment and underemployment.

Beyond youth-focused initiatives, Arobo also pledged to champion policies that will stimulate local economic growth, support small and medium-scale enterprises, and improve access to resources for entrepreneurs across the constituency. He further highlighted the importance of inclusive development, assuring that women will play a central role in his legislative agenda through empowerment schemes and increased participation in governance and economic activities.

On infrastructure, Arobo emphasized the need for sustained investment in critical sectors such as roads, education, healthcare, and community development projects. He assured constituents of his readiness to leverage legislative opportunities and partnerships to attract meaningful projects that will enhance the quality of life across Owo/Ose Federal Constituency. He also reiterated his commitment to facilitating job creation initiatives that will provide lasting economic relief, particularly for the teeming youth population.

As political activities continue to gather momentum, Arobo’s formal declaration is widely seen as a strategic step that consolidates his presence in the race while reinforcing his connection with grassroots stakeholders. With a message centered on service, inclusiveness, and development, his candidacy is expected to generate increased engagement and shape conversations around the future of representation in Owo/Ose Federal Constituency.
