A joint operation by local security agencies, Agbekoya, hunters, and other vigilante groups has resulted in the arrest of two suspected kidnappers in a deep forest in Owo, Ondo State. The operation, which took place yesterday, yielded sophisticated weapons, including AK-47 rifles.
The suspects were found with various items, including cutlasses reportedly used by Fulani herdsmen, canned beverages such as malt drinks, Fearless Energy drinks, and Heineken, in addition to the AK-47 rifles.
As of press time, the police had not issued an official statement regarding the arrests. The identities of the suspects have also not been disclosed.
