Nigerian Immigration Arrests Enugu Native Doctor Wanted For Rițual K!ll!ng While Fleeing Through Badagry Border

The Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) has announced the arrest of a wanted, suspected kidnapper and ritualist, Obi Levi Obieze, also known as Levi Obu Onyeka.

Recall that the suspect was earlier declared wanted by the Nigeria Police Force over his alleged involvement in kidnapping and ritual killings.

Reports suggested that Obi Levi Obieze, a resident of Umuojor village in Isiagu Community, Enugu State, and a known native doctor, was accused of being involved in the kidnapping of a 13-year-old girl earlier this week.

The victim was reportedly abducted by three men while walking with her father to the farm.

The victim was subsequently rescued by operatives of the Nigeria Police from a shrine purportedly linked to the suspect.

The Enugu State Police Command on Wednesday had also confirmed the arrest of three suspects linked to the abduction and the discovery of two decomposing bodies hidden in a pit sealed with concrete in the premises of the fleeing native doctor.

The Command had said the suspects — Uche Kingsley Agumba (33), Ilo Nweze Onyedikachi (36), and Ejike Odinwankpa (38) — are in custody, while Obu, also known by the aliases “Ezeani” and “E-Dey-Play-E-Dey-Show,” remains at large.

The police described him as a well-known traditionalist in Umuojor village, Isiagu community, where the crime reportedly took place.

However, a statement issued on Thursday by the Public Relations Officer of the Immigration Service, ACI AS Akinlabi, said Levi Obu Onyeka was arrested by men of the Service at Gbaji checkpoint along Badagry-Seme Road while attempting to flee the country on a motorcycle.

The Nigerian Immigration’s statement said: “He is currently in custody and his identity has been confirmed through a National Identity Management Commission enrollment slip found in his possession. During the initial questioning, he admitted to the alleged crimes.

“The Nigeria Immigration Service is collaborating with the Nigeria Police Force for the suspect’s handover and further investigation while reaffirming its commitment to Border Security”, the statement added.
