RE-OWO/OSE FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY 2027 RACE IN PERSPECTIVE

I saw the laughable write-up written by one Hon. Olaniyi Eni-Olotu, Hon. Adelegbe’s media Team Chairman claiming that Dr. Abiola Oshodi was defeated during the 2023 Owo/Ose MHR Primary election.

In as much I don’t want to respond to other purported claims made by Hon. Adelegbe’s aide in his write-up, but it’s imperative to set the records straight;

-That the Primary election was not done in accordance to the provisions of the party’s constitution and in an ideal democratic settings .

-That at no point was the list of the delegates for the Owo/Ose MHR Primary election made known to Dr Abiola Oshodi and his team . We only got to know the delegates at the election venue

-That at no point was the venue and the date for the Primary election communicated to Dr. Abiola Oshodi as one of the leading aspirant for the 2023 MHR contest. He paid for nomination form and his expression of interest form amounting to over ten million naira at the time , yet the venue of the party’s primary election wasn’t communicated was not communicated to Dr Oshodi and his team .

-That all the delegates that participated in the 2023 Owo/Ose MHR Primary election were selected by Hon. Adelegbe’s aids across the constituency

-That the then Governor of Ondo State, Arakunri Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of blessed memory gave a matching order to the party leaders to ensure the emergence of Adelegbe as the party flag bearer

-That the Primary election was just a mockery exercise misrepresentation of an ideal politicking

-That Hon. Adelegbe wouldn’t have had any chance of winning against Dr. Abiola Oshodi in a fair contest without the power of incumbency and the unalloyed support of the then Governor

-That Dr. Abiola Oshodi respect the supremacy of the party and decided to concede the election in the interest of our great party, shouldn’t be taken for granted.

-That Dr. Abiola Oshodi has been a faithful party man who has established himself as a popular character among the good people of Owo/Ose Federal constituency.

-That Hon. Timehin Adelegbe should have the late Governor to thank for giving him the mandate freely without any struggle.

That Hon. Timehin Adelegbe didn’t win the Primary election on his effort or performance, it was a mandate gotten on the platter of gold with the directive of Arakunri Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of blessed memory.

It is also of note that the race for 2027 as put forth by Hon. Olaniyi Eni-Olotu in his write-up and other needless politicking towards the next dispensation, is unnecessary and needless at a critical period of agony and pains faced by our people in Owo/Ose Federal constituency amidst biting hunger and worsening insecurity . Rather than sponsor a bill or bills that will help restructure our security architecture, our own MHR is plotting a third term and serially assaulting the intelligence of our people with his *isonu* palliatives . How many of his beneficiaries can lay claim to being lifted out of poverty with his *freebies* ??? MHR can’t continue to feed fat from the sweats of our Owo-Ose constituency that manifests in further upgrading of hotel in Akure . If you have received palliatives from our MHR and your palliative cannot afford you a BON type of hotel , then you need to think twice and even thrive and start to do away with politics of stomach infrastructure.

The compelling issue of insecurity should be what any sane and reasonable representative be discussing to find the lasting solution.

It’s saddening and pathetic that our Federal Representative has neither proposed a motion or even sponsor a bill that will attract federal presence in our communities nor has he raised the issue of kidnapping and banditry faced by his constituency at the green chamber.

It’s shameful , insensitive and disparaging for Hon. Adelegbe to be discussing political issues at this critical period of fear and panic in all communities that make up Owo/Ose Federal Constituency.
