RUGIPO Alumni Owo Chapter Elects New Leadership: “No Victor, No Vanquished” – Akeredolu Declares

In a peaceful and transparent election, the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Alumni Association, Owo Chapter (RUGIPO), has elected a new Executive.

Mr. Adebisi Akeredolu emerged as the Chairman-elect, garnering 43 votes against his closest Rival, Mrs. Ayoola Bobola Adetinuke Olajumoke, who secured 18 votes, with one voided vote.

The election Which was conducted by an electoral Committee led by Comr. Femi Ehinola, ensured a smooth, transparent and credible process.

Other elected members includes, Comr. Aladesukan Afisulai the Vice Chairman Elect , Tayo Ajibola as General Secretary, Otokiti Olajide Joseph the Assistant General Secretary, Lawrence Temidayo Oluwaseun -Public Relations Officer, Tapere Olumide – Treasurer, Owokuti Gabriel – Financial Secretary, Adebayo Omobolanle – Auditor, Adams Abdulhakeem – Director of Organization And Adenawo Olabanji Samuel as Chief Whip

In his acceptance speech, Chairman-elect Chief Adebisi Akeredolu expressed gratitude to the members for entrusting him with the leadership role.

He commended the electoral committee for their transparency and accountability throughout the process.

Notably, Akeredolu extended an olive branch to his opponent, declaring “No Victor, No Vanquished.”

Akeredolu promised to work hand-in-hand with everyone to ensure the continued growth and success of RUGIPO.

With this new leadership team in place, the association is poised to tackle new challenges and opportunities, building on its legacy of excellence and camaraderie.
