The Nigeria Police Force has directed senior officers and tactical personnel to prepare for a professional competency test and interview scheduled for February 18, 2025, at the Police Service Commission (POLSCOM) headquarters in Abuja.

In a classified directive from the Force Headquarters (FHQ) obtained by newsmen, ordered Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs), including Kanfani Jibrin, Nazir D. The directive also specified a strict dress code, requiring officers in conventional units to wear black jackets with berets and swagger canes, while those in tactical formations must appear in their designated uniforms.

The wireless message ordered to facilitate the movement of senior officers, the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGPOL) in charge of the Mobile Police (MOPOL) unit has been tasked with providing security escort and logistics support.

The security detail will include 12 armed officers, one serviceable Coaster bus, and two Hilux vans for transport. Officers are expected to report to the Force Secretary’s (FORSEC) office on the 4th floor of FHQ Abuja at 08:00 hours for briefing and conveyance to the venue.

According to the directive, all escort personnel have been instructed to be on standby at the FHQ Parade Ground by 07:00 hours, with a strong emphasis on punctuality.
