The relationship between A leader and the people who elect them into power is rudimentary to the running of democratic procedure. In a utopia, elected leaders are meant to serve the interests of their constituents, protect them , address their needs, agitation and concern. It’s a menace to democracy whenever politicians mandate their personal interests over the advancement and welfarism of the people who elected them into power. This circumstance , often identify to as “playing politics with the lives of the masses,” erode the very importance of democracy and sabotage public trust and belief in governance.
